Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to anyone who applies to drive with Road Star Freight Inc through this website. By submitting the driver application and ticking the agreement box, you confirm that you have read them, along with our Privacy Policy. That agreement covers the phone-call and SMS disclosures in the Privacy Policy.

Phone contact. By submitting the application, you agree that we may call you about your application. Those calls are limited to ordinary application-related matters. This is not consent to automated or prerecorded marketing calls, and it is not consent to marketing texts.

If anything in these terms is unclear, call us on (989) 407-0030 before you apply, and we will explain it in plain terms.

• Company equipment. The truck, fuel, upkeep and upkeep of the tractor-trailer are provided by Road Star Freight Inc. You do not need to own a truck, a trailer or a business licence to apply.
• How you are paid. Two structures, and you pick the one you sign for: a flat rate of $0.80 per mile, paid on the miles you actually run, or 28% percentage pay. The per-mile rate does not change with equipment type, because the equipment is ours.
• Who assigns the freight. The company dispatches. The miles available in a month depend on the lanes open and the freight booked — so the figures on this site are illustrations, never a guaranteed paycheque.
• What we expect. A valid commercial driver licence, safe driving, honest hours-of-service records, and compliance with the rules that apply to every driver in the United States.

• A valid Class A CDL, and any endorsement your licence carries. Hazmat is not required for this work.
• A clean driving record and a safe driving history.
• Your full address and a phone number we can reach you on.
• The truth. If anything you send us turns out to be wrong, tell us — we would rather fix it early than find out later.

Where the role requires it, we will run a driving-record or background check. We will tell you before we run it and we will ask for your written permission where the law requires it.

• We review your application and call you if it looks like a fit.
• We verify your licence and, where needed, run the checks above.
• We talk about the lanes, the schedule and the pay on those lanes.
• If it works for both sides, you start. If it does not, we will tell you — and we will not keep your details longer than we need to.

Applying does not create a contract, and it is not an offer of employment. Any employment starts only when both sides sign a written agreement.

Everything you send us — your name, phone number, address, licence details and driving record — is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to advertisers.

An application that does not turn into a job offer is deleted after 24 months. If you are hired, your application becomes part of your employment record.

Program: Road Star Freight driver application and hiring updates. These SMS terms describe the optional text-message program that may be offered by Road Star Freight Inc. We do not currently collect SMS opt-ins through the application form. If you do not opt in, these SMS terms do not apply to you.

1. SMS Consent Communication

The information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

2. Types of SMS Communications

If you have consented to receive text messages from Road Star Freight Inc, you may receive SMS messages related to your driver application and hiring updates, including confirmation that we received your application, requests for missing information, scheduling, and hiring status. We do not send promotional or marketing messages through this program.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary. We do not currently promise a fixed number of messages per week; the number depends on your application and how quickly it moves through review.

4. Potential Fees for SMS Messaging

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and pricing plan. Charges may vary depending on your carrier and whether messages are sent domestically or internationally.

5. Opt-In Method

We do not currently collect SMS opt-ins through the driver application form. If we introduce SMS, you will be able to opt in only by voluntarily checking an unchecked SMS consent box and submitting the form. The box will never be prechecked and will not be required. Entering your phone number, applying without checking the box, calling us, or having an existing relationship with us will not opt you in to SMS messages.

6. Opt-Out Method

You can opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message you receive. Alternatively, you can contact us directly to request removal from our messaging list.

We record opt-out requests in an append-only consent log and do not restore SMS consent because you update your profile or submit the general application form again. Re-subscription requires the supported START keyword or an explicit request to us.

Additional Options

SMS is not currently offered through the application form. If we introduce SMS, you will be able to apply without opting in. SMS consent is not a condition of applying and does not affect any employment decision.

Please apply once, with your real details. Bulk submissions, fake applications or automated requests make it harder for real drivers to be found, and we may decline them.

We may update these terms as the business changes. The date at the top always shows the current version. Nothing here changes the terms of any employment agreement you have already signed with us.
